    Why we ask before we call

    Four answers tell a program specialist whether there is anything to talk about before either of us spends an hour on it. If the roof will not carry a sensible design, we would rather know now than sell you a site visit.

    What each question is for

    The roof question
    Shade and roof condition set the ceiling on what a design can do. It is the first thing our design team looks at, before anything else.
    The bill question
    Your PG&E usage sets the size of the system we design. A bigger bill is a different design, not a bigger promise.
    The timing question
    It decides whether someone calls you this week or checks back later. That is all it does.

    Heard solar died when the tax credit ended?

    The federal tax credit ended December 31, 2025, and a lot of Northern California homeowners read that as the end of the conversation. The Prepaid PPA never depended on it. PG&E rates are up 101 percent over the last ten years, and PG&E has filed for 8 percent more in 2027 and 6.1 percent a year through 2030. Today the average rate sits around 48 cents per kWh. One payment up front, or financed through Travis Credit Union, gets you zero monthly solar bills for 25 years at a rate that never moves. No credit check to find out whether your home qualifies, and no lien on your home. If you sell, the agreement transfers with the house, the next owner inherits it with no monthly solar payment for the remaining term.
